Within the project EU4SORS – Development of a Modern Statistical System, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia organised the Workshop “Evaluation of Field Work in the Survey on the Needs for Data at Local Level”, which was held from February 3-5, 2026 in Šabac.
The workshop was realised in the scope of the subcomponent Decision-Making Support System at Local Level (DMSS LL), aiming at presenting the first results of the processing of data from the Survey on the Needs for Data at Local Level in economic, social and environmental areas, as well as at exchanging impressions and experiences of the direct participants in the main survey.

During the workshop, the methodologists, IT specialists, controllers and field interviewers, which participated in the DMSS LL survey, analyzed the realisation of field work, identified key challenges and good practices, as well as the possibilities to improve methodological and organisational aspects of future surveys at local level. Special focus was on the quality of collected data, the efficiency of field procedures and the role of digital tools in monitoring and controlling field work.
The results and conclusions from the workshop represent an important step in further development of the decision-making system at local level, which objective is to provide local authorities, regional chambers of commerce and other users with reliable, timely and relevant statistical data for decision-making.
